Is your store open?

Our retail shop is open 11am – 6pm, 7 days a week and is located in the heart of the historic Sellwood neighborhood at 8005 SE13th Ave, Portland OR 97202. Parking is plentiful and there are many places to eat, shop & explore in the vicinity. Please note that our shop does not have the same inventory as our website and even has some items our site does not have.

When are you restocking?

It depends on the style. We deal with many suppliers and receive deliveries nearly every day. But we cannot always get what we want when we want it and sometimes suppliers discontinue things forever. If you need to know when a specific style is coming back please let us know what that style is & what the brand name is, if possible, so that we can answer without asking you more questions first.

I need more than you show available…

If when choosing your desired quantity of an item there are less than 12 available on the drop down list, sadly that is all we have. Please e-mail us with what you are looking for and how many and we should be able to alert you when we have more in stock. If the quantity shows 12 available and you need more than that, please call or e-mail us for availability.

Bulk Discounts

We do offer some bulk discounts depending on manufacturer and quantity. Generally discounts are around 25% off an order of 4 dozen or more of one particular item. We require a 25% down payment on bulk orders and offer free shipping to US addresses. If the quantity you need is 48 pairs or more of one item, please e-mail us the following information:
Full name, including the business name, if it’s for a business:
Requested item name/color/quantity.
Your Shipping address.
The date that they need them by.
Your contact info including an email address and day-time phone number.

Is your site secure?

Yes, we do not ask for any personal information until you are on a secure page with a lock in the lower right corner of your browser. We never sell any information about our customers to anyone, ever, and will not add you to any mailing lists.

How are orders shipped?

In plain packages via US Postal Service. Please see our Shipping info page for more details.

Do you accept orders from countries outside the USA?

Yes, we ship internationally via US Postal Service to most countries. We require Paypal as payment on orders shipped outside the US & Canada, no exceptions at this time. International shipping info.

Do you have Gift Certificates?

Yes, we offer gift cards in the set amounts of $10, $25, $50, $75 & $100. We can send them to either you or the recipient. We also offer an emailed version in any amount you like.

How many times can I use my Gift Card?

You don’t have to spend it all at once and may use it over & over til you’ve spent it all.

Do you have wishlists?

Not yet, but it is in the works and while we’d hoped to have them ready by now it is going to happen in the coming months. I know, we’ve been saying that for how long? …our developers are hard at work on the special features to enhance this new version of our site and we greatly appreciate your patience & understanding.

Do you accept Paypal?

Yes, you can pay via PayPal directly through our check out system.

Apart from Paypal what other payments do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, Discover & American Express cards accepted online & by phone.

What is your return policy?

Am I supposed to get an email invoice after placing an order?

Yes, as well as a confirmation once your order has shipped,  but if you typed in the wrong email address you won’t receive an invoice. If you’re certain you typed in your current email address correctly, it could be that the email has been delayed on the server.

Do you take orders over the phone?

Yes, we sure do! Please see our order info page for more details.

Do you sell wholesale?

We are a small company with a very large retail customer base. Many of our items come from other wholesalers, we do not currently offer a discount on the sale of those items. We work with a small US mill for our private line of Dream Stockings and do not mass produce anything, therefore we will only accept accounts on a case by case basis. Many thanks for taking the time to read this!

Can you send me a catalog?

We don’t currently print a catalog. Our site is updated constantly and remains the best source for our many socks.

What size should I get?

If a style has size options they will be listed on their page. Some styles have a separate page for the larger version, in those cases the link is also on the page. Socks and sizing is a tricky thing, so many differing opinions can occur about comfort among our various sized customers. Here’s our official sizing page. Use your own best judgment and remember that everyone is shaped differently and dress/pant size really has little to do with how they’ll fit. If you want to know about a certain style we’ll need to know your thigh & calf measurements.

Do you have socks for men?

Although many of our styles are unisex we do have an official men’s section, socks found there were designed with men in mind but can be worn by anyone with feet that fit them.
Style is in the eye of the beholder…
wear what you enjoy & enjoy what you wear.

Do you have socks for children?

Yes, it’s a small section now, but will grow and grow just like your children.

Who models our socks & do we need help?

Here at Sock Dreams we believe the best way to know our products is to wear them ourselves. So we all wear them, and take pictures of each other wearing them for the site. Sometimes we share the joy of being a sock model with our friends online and we are always accepting fan pictures on our Facebook page, if yours makes us especially happy we may use it on our site in the future.

Where did you get your shoes?!?

Since we have worn so many shoes over the years this can be a challenging question to answer… For years they were almost all found at second hand stores around Portland, plus we have pictures of customers mixed in here and there and who knows where they got their shoes. But we have Sock Journal entry covering this and if what you’re looking for isn’t covered there you can email pointing us to the picture and we’ll see if we can find an answer.
We do not have any exclusive deals with any other shoe sellers and do not have any intentions of selling shoes in the future, at least, not online.
